WHAT IS FRAMETALKS?
FRAMETALKS is a 7-day long, participatory social sculpture arena for working individually and together, reimagining and rethinking how we live in the world, and for making ‘social honey’!
IN FRAMETALKS WE EXPLORE 5 REALITIES - in ourselves, together and in the world - through a deerskin frame on wheels.
NATURE [Mon 27/8] HUMAN BEING [Tue 28/8] LOVE [Wed 29/8] FREEDOM [Thu 30/8] FUTURE [Fri 31/8]
PARTICIPATE IN 4 LANGUAGES
There is a small booklet for gathering your own reflections and explaining a bit about the FRAMETALKS process. It is in 4 languages: German, English, Arabic and Turkish.
The fruits of these daily processes will be shared in collective processes at the end of each day, and then again in 2-days of reflection at the end of the week.
To participate in the reflections at the end of the week, you need to participate in one of the first five days, for a few hours at least.
This is an open session that requires no prior participation. It begins at 1700 and ends after midnight at 01.00 on Sunday 2. If you are only able to participate on the weekend, then you could join us in this 'Museumsnacht open session'.

THE OUTDOOR STATIONS
Details of the stations for each day will be written on the blackboard at Neue Brüderkirche, Wesertor, every morning, and online on this UOT:LAB FRAMETALKS Blog, on the University of the Trees Facebook page, and on the Neue Brüderkirche website.
The detailed timetable for the Museumsnacht and for the week will be available here, on our Facebook page, and on the Neue Brüderkirche website
WHAT KIND OF TIME COMMITMENT IS NECESSARY?
Some people are taking time off work to participate in the whole 7-day long process.
It is a bit like a 'pilgrimage' that focuses both inwards and outwards: Inward at how we think about these realities and outwards at the world: to experience how our thinking needs to change to enable us to shape an eco-social future!
KASSEL AS A LAB FOR SOCIAL SCULPTURE
FRAMETALKS is a social sculpture lab that enables people to explore our thinking and attitudes, individually and together, as part of the work toward an eco-social future.
Kassel was a kind of social sculpture lab for Joseph Beuys. It included the Honey Pump and the Free International University.
In 2012, Shelley Sacks was invited by individuals and organisations in Kassel to bring the methods and strategies she had developed for working actively with Beuys’ social sculpture proposals to Kassel. FRAMETALKS is one part of this ongoing and evolving exchange with many socially engaged individuals and eco-social organisations in Kassel.
EARTH FORUM, widely known and used in Kassel as well as many other contexts and places globally, is another part of these ongoing social sculpture developments. There is now an active group in Kassel working with the social sculpture ideas and methods developed in the past 20 years.
UOT MICROLAB FOR SOCIAL SCULPTURE, KASSEL
This UOT Microlab Kassel is part of the University of the Trees: Lab for New Knowledge and an Eco-Social Future, affiliated to the Social Sculpture Research network linked to Oxford Brookes University.
The UOT-MICROLAB in Kassel has a local core group that includes Karsten Winnemuth, Martina Schaeffer, Hartmut Hübner, Marketa Adamova, Heimo Thiele, Maike Bruse, Astrid von Gons, Martina Winkler, Marina Rose, Udo Maria Borg and Evelin. FRAMETALKS is a social sculpture – connective practice action developed and facilitated by Shelley Sacks. This version of FRAMETALKS is a collaboration with the Neue Brüderkirche, Kassel, the UOT Microlab für Soziale Plastik, Kassel; and the University of the Trees: LAB for New Knowledge and an Eco-Social Future.
